Who reads

The scene, in one place.

We don’t publish audience numbers we can’t back up. Ask us and we’ll share what we measure today.

  • Fans aged 16 to 35

People who follow Punjabi music closely: new drops, who said what, and which show is worth the drive.

  • A daily habit

They open the Pulse for news, feuds, polls and the weekly Chakde Chart, and Live for the shows near them.

  • Both sides of the border

Readers in Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi households alike, from the diaspora cities to Punjab itself.

How we label paid posts

Paid is always obvious.

Paid placement · northsidesound.example
iPaid placement. Our editors don’t write or approve sponsor copy.
This exact label, on every paid unit.
  • Always labelled Sponsored

Every paid placement carries the same SPONSORED chip, in the same top-left spot, with the advertiser’s domain beside it.

  • Never in Sikhi & Culture or Rishta

Those rooms carry no promotions at all. The block is built into the component, not left to a setting.

  • Editors stay independent

Our editors don’t write or approve sponsor copy, and sponsors don’t see or approve our coverage before it runs.

  • Editor’s pick can’t be bought

Picks, the Chakde Chart and feud coverage are editorial calls. Paid units look plainly different from our reporting.

Editorial standards

How the newsroom works.

  1. Report what was said.

We quote and summarise what people actually posted or said, and when they said it.

  2. Link the source.

Every post and feud chapter links to where it was said. If we can’t link it, we say so.

  3. Cover the drama, not the person.

No jokes about looks, family, faith, caste, region or gender. Fumbled rates a week’s moment, never a person.

  4. Fix mistakes in public.

When we get something wrong, we correct the post and note the change on it.
